DIY Color block Dress feat. Lillian (Pattern Review #106)

Pattern: Pattern Review Lillian (106) | Fabric: Ponte double knit

Hey ya'll! I wanted to pop in and share my look from Pattern Review's newest patter, Lillian.

I whipped up this comfy dress this past Sunday as part of the blog tour for this new pattern! I'll link to the other ladies who've created their own looks from this pattern so you can check out the versatility.

I will say that I sketched about 3 versions of what I wanted to make and ended up making none of them! And I'd originally told Deepika that I'd be making the top. Well, ya'll know my attention span ain't worth boo, so I changed my mind after I cut out the pattern. :)

I went with a longer dress in a comfortable and casual length. I wanted something I could wear with sneakers or platforms. I was thinking of a casual weekend I-don't-feel-like-ironing-but-I-want-to-look-more-put-together type of look.

Mission accomplished.

I will say that the color blocking was a challenge for me because I don't typically do it. I have done it, but it's not a habit. I'm typically a one-fabric type of gal, but, because I wanted to show off the style lines of this pattern, I chose these colors.

Here are a few more of the dress and since hubs was behind the camera, I'll throw in a blooper with Suga Baby.
