DIY Birthday Rompers for the Birthday Girls!
Last weekend, our family celebrated our Baby Girl's 1st birthday!! We are actually 3 days apart, so her party was on my actual birthday! I have to tell you that it did not feel like my birthday because I was so focused on her. I initially planned on having an intimate gathering for us at our home, but that quickly ballooned into a full out party with decorations and whatnot. And I'm so glad it did!
We all had a blast and Baby Girl was worn out the next day!
Now to the most important part, our outfits!
I made a romper for Baby Girl using McCalls 6872. The fabric I used were stretch poplins from Fabric.com. If it looks familiar, I made a dress with it that I posted here.
I cut a Medium and although she's turned 1, she can still wear some 9 months clothing.
Her romper was a quick sew, but those instructions were not the best. But, if you have any type of construction sense, it's easy. But, yeah, boo to the instructions.
My jumper is a rerun that I made last year using this polka dot rayon from LowPriceFabrics.com. I posted my original review here.
I've been swamped with other sewing projects I decided to experiment with (more on that in a later post) but I will be excited to update you on that when the time comes!
Have a beautiful day!
