DIY Maxi Dress - Butterick 5987
Dress: Butterick 5987 View A | Fabric: Crepe de Chine (sold out)
Spring time is my favorite time! It's maxi dress season and I am signed up and clocked in for it.
Despite this windy and dreary day, I took these photos on Mother's Day after a full day of R&R of my latest make.
For Butterick 5987, I cut a size 12 and fully lined the dress with a navy mystery polyester blend that was in my stash.
This fabric is from my Gorgeous Fabric Haul that I'm still sewing my way through. The fabric has since sold out on their site. Sorry!
I also took some pictures of the dress on my dress form because she looked so darn pretty! (I really love styling my dress forms!)
There isn't much to say about this dress as it was pretty straight forward and I didn't make any design adjustments. I made some minor fitting adjustments, but that was about it.
View A is designed for a fashion fabric, contrast layer, and lining. Since my fabric is opaque, I just did the fashion fabric and lining.
Enjoy the pics!
