Spring Is In the Air: My Work Style
Yes, I rock my skinny jeans and some sort of cute top occasionally, but I just really feel like a million bucks when I know that I'm well put together.
Can I confess? It's only been after I had my baby girl last year that I've actually wanted to really put myself together on a daily basis. Before, I just threw on some ill-fitting slacks and a top, default earrings, and some struggle flats and went on about my business. And I felt exactly how I looked.
Now, that I've really come into my own style, I'm really loving playing with shoe variety, colors, textures, and prints. This outfit is a great combination of all three!
My tunic is from the almighty Target and it is so drapey and feels wonderful on my skin. I love that the buttons don't come all the way down. Buttoning blouses annoys me for some reason and I just love the way this fits.
You know I'm a fan of the 3/4 length, so I love any blouse I can comfortable scrunch up the sleeves. To give my outfit a bit more shape, I did a gentle front tuck.
My necklace and earrings are from Target as well. When I was shopping, I didn't realize that I'd put several mint green-ish items in my cart. Happy accident! I didn't find a link to the accessories on the Target website.
My skirt is also from Target. Yes, I could have make this skirt, but it was right there so I grabbed it! They had a couple of other basic colors and one more print if I can recall correctly.
I really love the color combination here! The green tunic and mauve shoes go beautifully together, while the black and white stripe shakes things up a bit! The tiny ribbed texture in this ponte knit skirt is subtle, but present enough to give the outfit more "depth".
Have a wonderful day!
